Today is Thanksgiving in the US. Me, I give thanks for you, r/Ukraine.

Everything we provide impacts a life in some way: by giving an edge in battle, like thermal and night vision devices; by potentially saving life and limb, like tacmed; by facilitating connection and communication, like Starlinks; by providing warm meals, charged devices, and continuous 3D printing capabilities, like generators; by simply making things a little more bearable, like warm winter gear.

We can’t do any of it without you. You’re the ones impacting all those lives. We’re just doing the legwork.

Thank you for still paying attention, still caring, and still helping as the war drags on and everything gets harder and more tiresome. I’m more grateful to you than I’ll ever be able to express.

Pictured here is some of the stuff you sent me over to Poland with at the beginning of November. It went to an American medic whom I met through r/Ukraine, now that I think about it. You sent her IV start kits, IV caps, saline flushes, and throat lozenges for her patients, along with gum and ranch dressing mix that’ll boost her own morale.

You improved her patients’ chances by providing improved sterilization, and made them a little more comfortable during sore throat season.

No one’s going to care about this but me, but I’m so tickled that I’m gonna tell the story anyway.

When the medic sent me these pictures, she told me most of that stuff will be going to the 5th stabilization’s point. I had no idea she’s with the 5th now; she was with the 3rd last I heard. We go way back with the 5th; the first Ukrainian soldier I ever supported, way back in 2014, was a doctor with them until his retirement last summer.

And then she told she met him at the hospital where he’s now working!

      Small freaking world.

And not *always* a completely terrible one.
