    1. Trump will not dominate the world. He will say a lot of stupid shit and we shall laugh every time.

    2. Aggressive_Net_4444 on

You mean the same trump that was in office when brexit took place? Lmao.

    3. Unlucky-Statement278 on

Brexit was a gift to every country who has to compete against a united EU.

So I‘m thinking everytime Brexit and Trump is mentioned in one text. Dont is looking over the ocean to us and is laughing his as of.

Strange article. If Trump wants to destabilise the EU, Brexit makes his job so much easier. Give Britain good deals and hold the carrot out for other countries to break from the Brussels line. There’s potential here: the Dutch are already sending their ministers to Mar-a-Lago.

Welcome back. But no more opt-outs. No more special rules.

Brexit is over, it ain’t feasible for us to rejoin for various reasons, will
This debate ever end? People need to accept we are not a EU country and most of us simply don’t believe in what the EU is for. Even remainers only like it because of pure economic benefits, no one actually wants a united Europe or believes in that idea.

I remember why they left. The Brits have proven to be imature racists. So no, their place is not back in the EU.

    8. and then imagine you’re in the north of ireland which voted to remain by a comfortable margin..but then you’re ripped out of the eu by idiots in england..when about half of us in the north believe our inclusion in the uk is illegitimate in the first place..

      absolute wankers

Shouldn’t every decision with geopolitical implications be made with current and future political changes in mind? It’s not a two year old trying to decide what flavour of ice cream they want.

lol the guardian “this thing that happens is proof that the thing I wanted was right all along.” They would have said the same thing if Harris won.

That’s fine but the EU needs to ease its regulations to allow tech startups that can compete with the USA and China. Right now the EU is satisfied with a strategy of ‘Make sure foreign tech companies have consumer friendly practices in the EU’ which effectively cedes control of the space to those foreign companies.

Give us back the rebate then we can talk

I don’t care about the euro or shengen

It’s the rebate that’s the only major issue imo

Is not going to happen , Briton will have to decide whether do go toward freedom or go toward unchecked immigration and EU stupidity

    14. DabuXian on

Isnt that exactly what the brits wanted? To live in a world with closed borders, where the UK is irrelevant, doesnt matter in any foreign affairs, does a lot less trade with mainland Europe, and is left completely alone? They got exactly what they wanted, idk why anyone would change that.

    15. Organic-Wrongdoer422 on

Too late. Check the EU’s state. It wasted too much time with chaos and the last 10 years especially passed with Brexit chaos. So the UK is part of it. This is not a game – what will happen now ? Starting negotiations with the UK again ? Listening to their endless complaints and requests ? Why ! What will they bring to the table ? Nothing.

If the UK wishes to return back to the EU, it will not talk much – it will shut up and accept requirements as Germany, France or Netherlands did and join. No more arrogance.

    16. ThisStrawberry212 on

Give it a few more months and Europeans are going to be glad a European country can act without being blocked by hungry.

    17. thinkredot on

I want UK to be back in EU – ThinkPad`s in Europe is expensive and UK has the best deals !

    18. UK can apply again. Can be accepted in a few years, I guess, maybe by the time Trump leaves the office. Then they could revoke the application or exit again.

    19. TanteJu5 on

The UK’s decision to leave the EU was not a rejection of international collaboration but an opportunity to redefine it. Tying the UK to the EU means less flexibility. Who is the leader of the EU anyway, Ursula von der Leyen? LMAO Erdogan didn’t give a damn about her and left her standing.

The UK should continue to build its future as independent. Moreover, rejoining the EU without another clear public mandate would risk undermining trust in democratic processes.
