There are more millionaires out there than you think if you count assets into it. Look at real estate prices these days…

The real estate you see on the internet is intended for relocations. For residents (10 years of residence or Monegasques) a large part of the real estate stock is under state management and the rents are capped and moderate precisely because the majority of people are not millionaires and would not have the means to stay there.

It’s probably true. Most of them inherited it, instead of earning it. I know 4 residents who have more than a million in assets, all inherited it.

All apartments are in seven or eight-figure range, and most of them are owned, not rented. So yes, if you count the assets, that estimate sounds about right.
