I understand why they did it, but in the back of my mind I thought they should just not do that in case of an actual fire. The reason these trucks have their own reserve of water is specifically to start fire fighting while getting connected to the main system.
I don’t get it. Was it a supply for water cannons and by releasing it they sabotaged police actions?
Could someone please get context to the scene? Why exactly did the firefighter (have to) empty the tank?

Getting official institutions (?) like firefighters on their side is a huge step to getting the police on their side. Treat them well and don’t fire lasers in their eyes ffs.
