Il Cremlino paragona le proteste in Georgia alla rivoluzione arancione dell’Ucraina

They are right, but that doesn’t mean what they think it means.

It is – ie a statement by the population that they want to live in a fair democratic society closely aligned with Europe.

Ah, good to get the O.K from Kremlin that this protest is a good thing.

Orange Revolution was the beginning of the change in Ukraine, them choosing their own path and distanicng themselves firm Russia.

I wish Georgians manage to do the same!

Who would have thought that a country which was invaded and partly annexed by russia does not want to be a part of a new russian empire. I salute to all Georgians which did not fall for the Kremlin propaganda and want to live a life in Freedom and not in an authoritarian state.

Not exactly like Euromadian.

In Georgia we don’t have Dick “Darth Vader” Cheney addressing protestors, we don’t have the US ambassador discussing who will be president after the “Democratic revolution” (casually the next “democratic government” what exactly what she predicted. The next one, too), we don’t have far right militias shooting protesters and burning down union buildings. Also, we don’t have Miss “Fuck the EU” boasting about how she invested 5 billion dollars in Ukraine.

I’ll probably get downvoted into oblivion, but ask yourself: what would you think if Russia did in Georgia now what the US did in Ukraine before (and after) Euromadian?

Yes, they are right. No one likes Russia presently, all these countries that were once in its share of influence are moving away from them.
