I didn’t know his sentence was suspended. That’s scandalous.
As if we didn’t think this guy was a cretin already, and the judiciary don’t sentence people correctly, I’m waiting to see what his clown of a dad will do. He already blamed the media for bringing attention to the case but never once himself for having a homophobic, woman beating thug of a son. Who will he blame next?

It’s very ironic that the original judge spared Crotty any prison time out of pure sympathy and ended up making things infinitely worse for him.
If he was sentenced to 6 months when it happened, he’d have served his sentence by now and be free to rebuild his life in (relative) anonymity.
Instead, he’s basically been on house arrest the entire time already, lost his army position, and is still facing the prospect of going to prison. On top of every single person in the country knowing his face and that he’s pure scum.
He is not appealing it, the DPP is appealing the leniency of his sentence/it being suspended. Please read and understand the situation before commenting. Please.
