      This is actually a legal loophole that is used everywhere where there are a lot of village people.

      Russia has its own Communist Party clone done only for stealing votes from the real party, even though the real party is the contolled opposition.

      So that the controlled opposition won’t become uncontrollable

      PSD is the largest party in the country and currently in government. How incompetent can they be to let this happen?

      I’ve never supported them but mimicking their name and logo has to be illegal, right?

      We had something similar in Portugal in the election earlier this year, with some of the votes that were supposed to be for AD (main centre right coalition) going instead to ADN, an antivax/conspiracy theorist party.

      No, stop this narrative depicting the other party as brainless idiots, or when the other party is winning is because of electoral fraud due to (country name etc). This is going on in all world and our democracies are no more, look at France, Germany, Italy where no election was whiteld for 12 years, Georgia, Holland and so on .

      This lead to a change of law here – now political parties have to register their names and logos with the Electoral Commission who will refuse them if they are potentially confusing.
