Only thing left in Karelia for us are memories.
After all the genociding and forced migration there are too many more russians there than our kin.

It’s undeveloped land and we already have enough land as it is.
It would also, by our constitution, grant all the social benefits and services that are available to our current citizens for the people who live there. We would need to build a shit ton of infrastructure.
We would go bankrupt for a piece of land worth pretty much nothing.
They won’t have a say if their shit country collapses and Finland takes it back. Naturally the Russians living there now would be driven off.
