When I list stuff, it asks me to set prices in the various countries, for the various different Amazons (amazon.de, amazon.co.uk, amazon.fr). You can see above the list of countries I’m typically asked to price for (it’s automatically set up to price things though, hence why they’re greyed out).
And Ireland was added to that list sometime in the last week.
Entering in amazon.ie still just directs to Amazon.co.uk for now, but typically, that option only gets added when the site for a specific country is about to launch. I can’t see any news articles about it, but the only reason to ask me to price for Ireland is if an Ireland marketplace is imminent.
For anyone interested 😉

I presume we can still access the U.K. site if not available here.

I believe it was announced a few months ago that they’d be launching Amazon.ie on January 1st.

I know people are all for an Irish Amazon but I’m apprehensive. My concern is that we get a shittier version of Amazon with higher prices and less options and can no longer get free/cheap shipping from the UK site.

Internal testing of the site is planned for end of January so I would guess at June 2025

Will this mean we will have to change our prime accounts to .ie ?

Curious as a brit, up until now did you lot have to use amazon.co.uk? And surely that impacted delivery prices even with Prime Post brexit?
