I start my every day with these statistics.
750.000 eliminations loses in personal. I do think this does include wounded personal. Now I don’t know how good the Russians are at patching up their comrades. But at least it’s not the total number of soldiers killed.
It’s incredibly sad to read that so many lives are lost in perhaps one of the most pointless conflicts in recent history.

Tbh we will need to wait at least 50+ years to have decent statistics about this conflict- trusting one side with statistics about ENEMY casualties is like hearing nazis about them taking over stalingrad.

Is it 740k casualties or 740k deaths? There is a big diffrence.
Also what is the source for this? From the symbol at the bottom it looks like its the Ukranian government, but Ukraine is engaged in war against Russia, so they will obviously try and make themselves look as good as possible, and unless their numbers are backed by other trustworthy organisations I can’t say I really trust their numbers.

why is everyone so surprised by the number 750k? Yes guys, this is what we call the war. It’s not a “lie” or “propaganda”. Many people are dead and more will die.
No matter how those numbers look big, Bosnia war had 100000 deaths. And Bosnia has smaller population than many, many cities in both Russia and Ukraine. And the numbers above likely includes wounded as many pointed out.
Actually Bosnia has something like 2% of population of Ukraine and Russia together.

No this numbers seems very unnatural or abnormal. Lots of 9 and 3 being repeated. Sounds like when we make up numbers we tend to repeat them. In any case nobody knows the true losses not the Russians not the Ukrainians and not even NATO. Take this with a truckload of salt.

When I see this type of graphics, it always hurts me. Putting on the same level the loss of people, life, individuals, humans as of the objects. Besides which faction they are.
I know that in war tanks and airplain might be worth more than people lives, it’s sad. I might be an utopistic pacifist but having a grandmother who was really young during ww2 and the stories she told me, I hope I will never live in a country under war and that in the future we will invest more into moving out in space than in creating a deadlier weapon.

I keep wondering how much casualty would be too much casualty before leaders from Chechnia and other provinces decide losing their own for Putin is not a beneficial decision.

It’s obviously hard to know, but one stat I believe in are the Russian Tank/IFV losses. They are embarrassingly bad even if 1/3 less. If they had faced NATO, the Fulda gap would have been like the highway of death in Iraq.
