    Forum privato mod di Boards.ie esposto


    Un problema tecnico su board.ie che restituisce risultati di ricerca che includono il forum mod privato sta causando il caos.

    Tutte le discussioni private in cui cospirano per bannare arbitrariamente gli utenti e chiamarli eejits/twats ecc. sono state smascherate.

    Sta provocando il caos laggiù e stanno cancellando disperatamente ogni menzione di ciò.

    Le persone cercano i loro nomi utente e si arrabbiano per le cose che vedono.

      I used to have an account in 2006, but the moderating (especially in the Airsoft forum) became infuriating. That’s when I moved to the fairly new Reddit for the first time. Reddit moderating can be even worse that boards.ie, but only in some forums.

      I used Boards many years ago. At the time, they used to run a league table of the “Most Thanked Posters” on the website.

      For a long time, the league leader was Dr.Bollocko, one of the mods.

      Then, one day, I overtook him by a few hundred votes.

      The next day, he permabanned my account for a post I made two years previously.. he must’ve spent the whole day searching through my post history looking for something he could ban me for.

      Needless to say, I haven’t used Boards since.

      Its interesting how they can clearly see how anti trans trolling is being orchastrated. I dont know how posters like that cant make better use of their lives.

      I’m not a mod on Boards but I recognise several of those usernames and it’s not “arbitrary”, some of those users are the most consistently inflammatory trolls on the site.

      I’ve no issue with mods commiserating with each other while they do an absolutely thankless job.

      I’m sure the mods here have a groupchat of some kind also, it just wouldn’t appear in a search because the Reddit infrastructure is so much better.

      God there’s a few names there I remember from my own boards.ie days. Don’t miss the place, don’t envy the mods when it comes to no-lifers who troll and nothing else.

      I didn’t use Boards much but I left completely years ago when they moved the site overseas and it turned out they were no longer GDPR compliant. They are a data breach waiting to happen. I’m really surprised that the site is even still a thing.

      Looked through a few and to me it pretty much looks like what I would expect mods discussing bans to look like.

      Infamy, infamy; they’ve all got it in for me. Gonna go ahead and guess the OP, judging by their thin comment activity, has jumped into reddit off the back of a recent Boards ban, full of righteous indignation. Which one are you OP? 😀

      I never fail to chuckle at the idea of Boards’ mods as some nefarious cabal of Fun Haters, stomping out the digital pure-hearted. Arbitrary? No. Can confirm 90% of those banned were done so because they broke the rules and behaved like ásses.

      I was expecting to be outraged, but then I saw the names of the posters being talked about and yeah, its most of the biggest cunts around. 

      It’s actually good to know that the mods can see it too.

      I’m banned from Boards for a month for calling Trump ‘Rapey Don’. I probably won’t go back. Mind you, I’ve just finished a ban from here for a week too..

      Was looking at that ‘someone who you inexplicably can’t stand’ thread and saw that a victim of assault (Natasha O’Brien) and a victim of rape (Nikita Hand) were featured in it.

      Whatever about Baz or Vogue or some mildly annoying TV persona, that’s a bit WTF.

      I’m not a mod here or there but this all seems fairly tame to be honest. I’ve had a couple of mod reactions and I’m absolutely certain conversations like this happened in the background and I wouldn’t take offence to it. They’re people doing a job and sharing information and opinions in private.

      So uh, where’s the conspiracy here? Like I’ve taken a look through all the screenshots and I’m not seeing any attempts or comments to arbitrarily ban people?

      It’s mods discussing users causing issues, trolling, hassle and to keep an eye on them. Pretty normal stuff I’d say really.

      They’re fairly accurate in the desciptions of some of the users, there’s two of them I’d put on mute for being utter head melts.

      Hard to have much sympathy for the mods,they engineered this situation and overseen any sound posters leave long ago

      A good few my mates used use it,but noone I know has used it in 5+ years at this stage,it’s hard to believe it’s stayed going so long,a throwback to school days 🤣

      I’m very much of the view that Boards can go die in a fire. There was a poll done in either CA or Politics before the European elections which suggested that Far Right parties were going to get something like 20% of the vote. So that’s the kinda people who post in CA, AH etc. etc. there. Far right wankers, trolls, people who JAQ off about the trans community and immigrants, and people who have the ability to tolerate the first three groups (none of whom could possibly be sane as a result).

      It’s fucking Twitter basically.

      That being said, there’s actually not anything in that collage that strikes me as madly controversial. There’s one or two fairly obviously tongue-in-cheek comments about going on a sitebanning spree, but for the most part it’s mods blowing off steam and discussing whether people are sockpuppets etc.

      I’ve modded a couple of busy forums before, not Boards thankfully, and that’s what mods on places like that do, cos if they didn’t they’d go mad.
