Yet another case by recidivist animal abusers

The court heard that Kavanagh’s father James and his mother Jennifer had previously been banned from owning dogs for life and for 15 years respectively.
James Kavanagh Senior was also banned from owning horses for life.
Both had pleaded guilty to animal cruelty charges on the same family property in February 2019.
Kavanagh’s aunt, his father’s sister, 58-year-old Sheila Kavanagh, also pleaded guilty to charges of animal cruelty, as well as failing to protect an animal or adequately feed them.
She was given a four-month suspended sentence, suspended for two years, a €1,000 fine and she had to pay €600 to the ISPCA.
She was also banned from owning any animals, other than a small dog that she currently owns, for life.
Not harsh enough. Animal welfare in this country needs to be prioritised, it’s a joke. Special place in hell for dirty animal abusers.
Horrible people do horrible things.
Remember the puppy farm that was closed there, so many dogs taken in it pressured every rescue centre in the country, shower of bastards

Spare a thought for those Animal Welfare Inspectors who see first-hand the abuse animals go through from these types of people.
Tough job and most times you never get to see proper justice given out by the courts.

Good. At least he sees the inside of a prison. That is something for a change. In my opinion the sentence should be harsher.
