Il riscaldamento è stato rotto tutto l’anno e gli idraulici hanno dovuto aspettare a lungo.
Quando ho iniziato il college circa 10 anni fa, mia nonna (che Dio riposi sull’anima sua) mi ha regalato uno di questi numerini eleganti.
Sicuramente li conosciamo tutti. Sono pruriginosi, spessi, hanno un bordo lucido simile al raso attorno all’orlo e per qualche motivo sono spesso rosa.
Mio fratello ha detto che si chiamano coperte militari. Anche se sono sicuro che l’esercito abbia/avesse coperte fatte della stessa stoffa, non credo che abbiano scelto lo stesso motivo floreale.
Ad ogni modo, questa coperta mi ha tenuto in vita in ogni inverno brutale da allora, e quest’inverno si sta assolutamente guadagnando le sue lodi. Qui ha cominciato a gelare a intermittenza, ed è sceso fino a -2. Il riscaldamento non verrà riparato fino a lunedì (viene sempre posticipato).
Voglio sapere, qual è il vero nome di questo tipo di coperta?
È una cosa degli anni ’60 o ’70? Quando sono morti?
Di cosa sono fatti? È davvero lana?

Wow that brings back memories OP, my gran had one of these in the spare room I’d sleep in when we were over visiting. They were as itchy but by God you’d be kept warm.
