It often happens that when life closes one door, it immediately opens another 🙂
It happened this time too.
Thanks to the people of Salisbury in the UK we received £250 to buy fabric for sewing clothes for the wounded . (The funds were raised at a charity fair by people other than our countrymen), also we have support from Kyle from Reddit
But when the material was paid for and waiting at the post office, volunteers from Chernihiv cancelled our previous agreement to sew these clothes . 🤦🤷 Shit happened we are all just people.
We urgently looked for someone who could help us out
The first to respond was Alla (She is the owner of a small tailoring business in the photo with me) and her team, who agreed to work overtime to sew our order for long-sleeved T-shirts for the wounded.
Volunteers from the Nikopol (the city near front line) Sewing rota also responded to our request for help.
Just imagine, volunteers in a city under fire are sewing trousers and sending them to Chernihiv!!!!
And today I can show you the results of the work of these extraordinary people :))
We have sewn and sent 15 trousers and 33 long-sleeved T-shirts. All beautiful якості❤️.
And finally, let me remind you why we are doing this: wounded soldiers from the front are brought to hospitals and clinics without clothes, because they are cut off at stabilisation points. Thus, our defenders need minimal clothing: trousers with a T-shirt, socks, underwear, even slippers and hygiene products for the duration of treatment. We are trying to help as much as we can.
