So are we intentionally holding back weapons just because Ukraine does not want to send 18 years to fight?

That’s messed up that’s even worse than not allowing then to strike Russian land

This is a way to make it Ukraine’s fault for the lack of equipment and training. Ukraine doesn’t want to draft 18 year olds because they need the young to rebuild the country and that generation of Ukrainians is already demographically smaller than the others.

They don’t see too ready to equip the forces Ukraine has now …

That is probably a lie because, according to the UA government, they don’t even provide enough equipment for the existing units.

“Ultimately, the decisions about the composition of its military force are – those are decisions that the Ukrainians have to make for themselves. What we have made clear is that if they produce additional forces to join the fight, we and our allies will be ready to equip those forces and train those forces to enter battle.”

You quoted him wrong in the title and are twisting his meaning. He never said “but”.

These are actions they are taking now, he’s saying if they have more, they’ll train and equip more. Not saying do this or else, there’s no “but” in the quote.

Whether or not they are actually training and equipping enough is another debate, but the title is misleading as this is not the exact quote.

I think Ukraine should lower the recruiting age to 14 years old for boys and 12 years old for girls. That way US can equip them with … *checks notes* 30 Abrams.

    8. There are men and women in the trenches and crews manning artillery pieces begging for a rotations. My second argument, why wait for equipment to arrive before training recruits?

Do they??? They haven’t been given the equipment they need RIGHT NOW!

      Stop talking and ACT.
