“Skyline concerns” fucksakes
Can’t see the water with the footpath there.
It sometimes feels like environmental regulations are abused against changes that would be environmentally positive
Fucking NIMBYs.
Meanwhile no political party in the country would do anything on the nitrates derogation other than back the farmers right to pollute waterways.
This is why we can’t have nice things.
Walkers and bikes would block their view of the mountains and an artificial lake for seconds of time each. Can’t have that

This just seems like a poorly completed planning application.

This is just ridiculous
So frustrating, would have been close to it once finished. It would be a huge plus for locals and businesses alike.
It was poorly planned. Having a Greenway is great but it has to be right and work for now and the future and this wasn’t it.
I quite like the existing walk from Avon Ri up to Russborough house. I think they should improve that first, as once you hit the N81 section it’s a bit hairy.
As for them talking about water quality, given the recent images coming out of the levels of algae on the lake that’s laughable. That lake has been destroyed by runoff from local agriculture.
