Sad to say nuke and Nato
Nukes. You have learnt not to expect swift actions from the west.
Nukes don’t protect you so much as guarantee mutual destruction. As Putin has come to realize. But membership in a strong military alliance is a way forward, and one that should have happened years ago for Ukraine. A lot of lives would have been saved.
With nukes you know what you have. With NATO, you could be getting some really weak sauce.
Nato membership = nuclear deterrence = own nuclear weapons

I think the U.S. has an obligation to give Ukraine everything it needs. They assured protection when they had Ukraine sign away their nukes.
