Georgia had only one real patriot president: Zviad Gamsakhurdia

To be honest their strengths and circumstances are pretty uniqe and therefore hard to rank (except Margvelashvili, he is the last one for sure)

Gamsakhurdia was the person who brought us independence and was actively fighting against soviets, he was not really a good politician in my opinion, but he still did a lot of good work, his role in acquiring freedom for the country is massive.

Shevardnadze was very good diplomat and had amazing charm, he was really respected by foreign ministers and presidents (There is a book called “ნაცნობ ქიმერათა ფერხული” written by Charkviani in which the portrayal of his foreign relations is really astonishing). He was also a person who initially started the integration in the West, although it was really unsuccessful. He was not a good reformer and country was basically anarchy during his time.

On the other hand Saakashvili was a great reformer, he transformed Georgia from Failed state to modern country. Difference between his reforms and his predecessor’s is vast. The rule of law, economy and bureaucracy all transformed very positively. He was recognized around the world as a great reformer. He really did miracles in terms of transforming the country to European state. He also had good political sense, because it was during his time that 3 US presidents visited us (Bush, Biden and Trump). Though this achievements are often downplayed and often outright disregarded by people because of the results of “zero tolerance” politics.

Margvelashvili – i honestly have nothing to say about him

Zourabichvili was typical European qoci. Like many other europeans he also believed that Russia was not expansionist and imperialistic, they just made mistakes here and there. Putin was not evil, he just made mistakes and other bs like that. She, like many Western europeans and Americans up until Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 didn’t have a clue about psychology of Russians and their true intentions. West often assumes that dictator countries want same things as them (Prosperity, Freedom, Peace, equality and stuff like that) and fail to see true reason of their acts and Salome was Victim of that. However, after re-integrating in her homeland she too saw real intentions of Russia and Qocebi and for the last few years is helping us on international platforms to maintain the correct path on EU integration. She is currently the voice of the people and only institute that speaks for the majority of the people that supports Ukraine and Westernization of Georgia.

I’m surprised Margvelashvili isn’t getting any love, I thought he was a very good president – he certainly wasn’t what GD hoped for.

Post 2012 is the transition to parliamentary democracy so it became a very different job I don’t think before and after can be evaluated against each other.

Unfortunately, they were all worse than each other, but Salome and Margvela would be considered better than the others since they didn’t have the same level of constitutional power as the other three.

როგორ გინდა რო ესენი “დავარეიტინგოთ”?

1. გამსახურდია, თუმცა როგორც პოლიტიკოსი სუსტი იყო. თავგადადებული პატრიოტი იყო და მისი ძალისხმევით (რა თქმა უნდა სხვებისაც) მივაღწიეთ დამოუკიდებლობას.

2. სააკაშვილი, ვინმეს მოსწონს თუ არა ფაქტი არის რომ სააკაშვილმა შექმნა და ჩამოაყალიბა სახელმწიფო. რომელიც ათწლეული გაუბედურებული იყო და არ არსებობდა სერიოზული ინსტიტუტები, რომელსაც სანდოობა ქონდა, მისი ხელისუფლების დადებით მიღწევებს, უცხოეთშიც იღებდნენ და ჩამოდიოდნენ აქ რომ ესწავლათ/გადაეღოთ. თუმცა მის ხელისუფლებას ბევრი გადაცდომა ქონდა და ზოგჯერ უაპტიებელიც კი, ფაქტი არის ეგ და ვერასდროს შეიცვლება. ქართული ოცნება დღემდე დგას სააკაშვილის მიერ შემდგარ და გაძლიერებულ ინსტიტუტებზე.

3. შევარდნაძე, თეთრი მელა. თუმცა პუტჩით, ანუ გადატრიალებით მოსული პრეზიდენტი იყო, მას გააჩნდა ავტორიტეტი დასავლეთში. ავტორიტეტი რომელიც დაიმსახურა საბჭოთა კავშირის საგარეო მინისტრი რომ იყო, ბერლინის კედლის დანგრევა, პერესტროიკაში მონაწილეობის მიღება და ა.შ. თუმცა მის პრეზიდენტობის დროს დავკარგეთ აფხაზეთ-სამაჩაბლო. მისი ავტორიტეტის გამო ამერიკა პირველად დაგვეხმარა და როგორც გელა ჩარკვიანმა თქვა ერთ-ერთ ინტერვიუში, ამერიკის მაშინდელმა პრეზიდენტმა მამა ბუშმა სხვა ქვეყნისთვის განკუთვნილი ხორბლის გემი შუა გზიდან შემოაბრუნა საქართველოსკენ. ასე თუ ისე მაგ პატარა გადახვევას რო არ მივაქციოთ ყურადღება, პირველი შევარდნაძემ გადადგა ნაბიჯები ევროკავშირისკენ და ნატოსკენ (რასაც რეალურად ნაცები იბრალებენ).

4. ზურაბიშვილი, თუმცა სიმართლე რომ ითქვას პირადად ნეგატიურად ვარ განწყობილი ამ ადამიანის მიმართ, რადგანაც ომის დაწყება საქართველოს დააბრალა (ჩემი აზრით რეალურად მიშასა და ნაცების მიმართ ბოღმის გამო), თქვა რომ საქართველოს ჯარი არ ყავს და ა.შ. უნდა აღინიშნოს რომ იგი თავისი ძალისხმევით ცდილობს საქართველო შეაბრუნოს ევროკავშირის გზაზე და წინ აღუდგეს ოცნების მავნებლობას. იგი თავის ავტორიტეტს, რომელიც დიპლომატიურ სამსახურში მუშაობს დროს მოიხვეჭა, ცდილობს საქართველოს სასიკეთოთ გამოიყენოს.

5. მარგველა, ნუ რა ვთქვა ამაზე საერთოდ? არც მახსოვს ამისი არაფერი, გარდა იმისა რო სერიოზული დაპირისპირება ქონდა ოცნებასთან და ქართულმა ოცნებამ მისი პრეზიდენტობის დროს დაიწყო პრეზიდენტის ინსტიტუტის ფუნქციებისა და უფლებების შემცირება.
