      I think of this little girl all the time. Can’t even imagine what the family will be dealing with for years to come.

      And every time I read an update on the poor girl and her family, I was going to try type how I feel, but I can’t put it into words. Certainly not words that the mods would let stand. I hope at some time the family can start to feel normal.

      What a horrible thing to happen to this poor little girl, the impact it has had on her is unimaginable. It is encouraging to hear she is progressing. I admire her resilience and strength but also the strength of her parents who have also endured so much. I hope they have a wonderful Christmas.

      My little girl is 6 now and I find these updates really hard to read. No idea how they manage. Strong family.

      I’m a little out of the loop with this. Can someone explain what happened to the girl? I’ve been reading the progress each week, which is amazing but I’m afraid to look it up myself. Sounds like she went through hell.

      Does anyone know what injuries she actually sustained? Genuinely just curious because I never read anything about it but given her long road to recovery and all the adjustments that had to be made to accommodate her at home I’m thinking her spinal cord was involved somehow…

      I hope this family find some measure of peace in having their little girl home this Christmas. Most of us are lucky enough to say that we will never understand the position they have been put in. I hope the entire family continues to receive wrap around support, particularly for the mental aspect of this, coming to terms with grieving for the future your child had stolen from her and dealing with the day to day aspect of getting used to this new normal must be is the kind of challenge that no one should face.
