Scatenamento pedante: la Posta Svizzera permette di scegliere come paese di destinazione la “Gran Bretagna”. La Gran Bretagna non è un paese, è un’isola, e sostituire il Regno Unito con la Gran Bretagna significa che l’Irlanda del Nord è tecnicamente esclusa dalla lista

      Northern Ireland is a country though. In one of the senses of the word.

      I guess it comes from the fact the the ISO code to send parcels to United Kingdom is “GB”.

      But indeed the country should be “United Kingdom”

      I also found it very confusing, given that the official name in the Universal Postal Union is (of course) United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

      Look, I am not an expert of Post, but if I had to guess this is related to Brexit.
      For transportation of goods GB is now treated differently than UK
