Alla conferenza stampa annuale di fine anno del presidente, Rosenberg ha ricordato a Putin come il suo predecessore, Boris Eltsin, gli aveva detto di prendersi cura del paese quando aveva ceduto il potere. In risposta, Putin ha detto che la Russia lo aveva fatto "riconquistò la sua sovranità".

I remember seeing a clip not long ago of Rosenberg going up to Lavrov to ask a question and when Lavrov saw who it was, he said “oh, it’s you!”
