Absolutely delight to hear this! Been cycling down there everyday and watching the progress has been really exciting!
I think it looks great and will be so much better now with all the extra space.
It’s been a while coming but that side of town is beginning to shape up. Progress is continuing on phase two of the Marina Park/Atlantic pond, phase one already being done. I wasn’t in favour of Cork GAA’s plan for paving over sections of the park for carparks, but I do hope they manage to get their museum going at some stage. We’re seeing an extension of the greenway (Lee to See/Cork Harbour) that this is connected to out around Carrigaline and [Ringaskiddy](https://www.corkcoco.ie/en/news/contract-signed-for-ringaskiddy-active-travel-and-urban-realm-scheme)
With the LDA now being involved in a couple of the residential developments in the Cork Docklands you could end up with an inversion of the old issue around the IFSC, where you had a load of offices and no one around after 6pm. Cork’s south Docks will have the opposite, no one around during the day, loads in the evening. Here’s hoping the issues with the [Goudlings](https://www.irishexaminer.com/business/economy/arid-41524688.html) move can be sorted.
