Honestly, I can’t understand why China is doing this. Trump’s second term would be an excellent time to drive some wedges between US and the EU, but instead the Chinese have chosen to antagonize Europeans.

They are only doing it again because our response was a mildly worded letter.
Story does not share the fact the captain is Russian. And the ship used to be russian but changed to chinese.
Also chinese investigators has boarded with swedish, danish, lithuanian and german investigstors as observers
Is the whole world preparing to destroy Europe? Should Europe not show some teeth at this point?
Fairly sure the Russian pilot was trying to break the underwater sonar cables and just happened to snag a couple of internet back bone cables in the process.
Europe just going to take it in the ass, and have more meetings about why this happened.
