Did they film the end beginning/end of the protest where there’s less people or did they AI remove people?
They use footage taken before the protest gathering even started, (or it’s old footage, can’t say for sure), and use it to make people believe that protests are no more.
This is the same method used in Belarus, quite successfully. But fortunately we have a much better situation when it comes to free media – at least 3 large critical TV channels, plus around 10 independent online media outlets make it very hard for GD to implement the same scenario here.
