I support Ukraine, but i also understand why corporations wants to keep their plattform free from any reminders of war.
Let’s do a little imagining. what if they really had bots spamming the forums with the same message? Then you came along, posted and got banned.
The second point is, keep the discussion about the game, don’t bring political stuff there.
And third, did someone else post pro Russia content, didn’t get banned but as soon as you replied, you got banned? Or was it more like: “dude I really like that weapon skin” and you reply “Slava Ukraine”? Context matters.
No it isn’t. Your post was irrelevant and bringing up controversial stuff on a game community forum is heavily disliked already

You’re bringing politics to a gaming platform and you’re surprised to get this.
It would annoy me as well to see this while trying to chill and forget about the shit that’s happening in the world.
I am all in support for Ukraine but I don’t want to see politics when I game.
Just do as they do and report the russian support comments. And if they do not remove those then I’ll be more than happy to look into that myself.

I am seeing a lot of active Russian account in the hub for games I play and I don’t know why.
Perhaps because I once had Steam friends who were from Russia, but all the accounts had been inactive since 2016 and have been deleted as well it seems.
Publish this far and wide, goto your local media. Steam has rapidly turned into a cess pit of poor moderation and bad business practises lately….

Is it steam or is it some random guy having ban rights for that community? I mean, if you look at it from a global perspective, you will find enough people that are pro-Russia or don‘t care such that it could be considered as „spam“.
Although we are very much pro-Ukraine, we should be aware that we are in a pro-European „bubble“.

Steam is a free program, and contains some of the best free games. Obviously gamers from nations where games are expensive are going to be overrepresented.
Stop trying to put war propaganda, from either side, in an online game platform and you won’t get banned. Internet warriors meh.
I type Slava Ukraini in every game I am in, with Russians. Haven’t got a ban. So I don’t know how you got yours?
I played the new wow classic servers for a bit there. I love taking the random guild invites to see what neckbeard life advice I can gather there. So one of them was fucking full of Russians. I said glory to Ukraine and got kicked and some whispers in Russian sent to me after like I understand what it says or give a fuck.
Anyway, seems steam are not alone in this
