How did this end up happening? Is it just a lack of fortifications over time? Kind of a big deal when Russia manages to take the city.

Even if the city falls, I salute the HEROIC defense held by the brave soldiers of Ukraine.
It’s really difficult to hold a position when the enemy is constantly sending wave after wave of cannon fodder.
