FYI: It was, if not, one of the most high-profile murder cases ever in the history of Turkey. It took months of in-depth investigations by many authorities as the whole family of 25-30 joined forces to tamper with evidence, leave fake traces, and give false testimony to deceive the investigators.

Despite the ruling, there’s still no single confession by the murderers – no plea agreement, nothing. Except for a collaborator, all still claim they’re innocent after all the concrete evidence. It was, for weeks, covered by all TV channels almost live for 24/7. It was nearly impossible for crime scene investigators to gather any evidence from the body, as it was found weeks after the death (no one reported it, the whole village cooperates).
