Two interesting points for you from the article:

1/2 With the European Union roiled by internal divisions and failing to act as a coherent strategic actor in the face of multiple wars and conflicts in its region, the tables have turned. Whereas once-weak Asian powers used to be the object of Europe’s strategic calculations, it will now be the other way around.

2/2 Naturally, a more autonomous Europe would be an ideal outcome for Beijing. Besides exploiting the trans-Atlantic divide on geopolitics, Moscow and Beijing have more than enough room to work with anti-Americanism on the left and right of the European political spectrum.

Maybe Poland needs to bring back the idea of the Visegrad Alliance outside of NATO and the EU. Add Romania and Croatia and it has access to the Adriatic, Baltic, and Black Seas. There can be a way that’s not US/EU corporatism and also isn’t Chinese/Russian style authoritarianism.

Sigh.. oh why oh why did so many EU countries fall into voting for the right/far right that dont want to unite with other EU countries as much

And now we have the eastern side falling into pro-russianism

The EU should unite and start planning on how to make the EU more self sufficient and a continent that has its backbone well together

We rely too much on the US and as trump won, we cant rely on them one bit anymore
