      If this holds, there will be no second round since Milanović got more than 50% of the vote

      Isn’t this the same guy that threatened to label anyone who voted for an expansion of NATO ”Traitor” and that said that Russia was entitled to it’s ”sphere” of security because of the 2014 Maidan ”Coup d’etat”?

      The thing is with Milanović that he’s the only guy who stops the rulling party HDZ from a total takeover of all the institutions in this country. He also got a majority of votes since pretty much every left oriented person in Croatia sees them as the only good left option. He’s is pro EU and NATO. He is for supporting Ukraine but not in the term of millitary presence.

      To anyone who thinks, “Oh no, another pro-Russian retard,” the president’s position in Croatia is basically useless. He cannot do anything other than make us look bad.

      As for why he got so many votes, there are two reasons: “anything but HDZ” (which isn’t necessarily bad) and the fact that the average Croatian voter is a loud know-it-all with an opinion about everything type of idiot. Milanović perfectly represents those people.

      Milanović is not pro Russia he is pragmatic and doesn’t want to send soldiers to Ukraine. Thus he is pro Russian by haters.

      He brought croatia to the EU as the PM.

      He thinks small countries shouldn’t get involved when the big ones are fighting.

      He definitely is not conventional but is pro-west and has a law degree.

      To all Europeans reading Russians trolls. Like all elections it was about our interior politics. Most of country hate ruling party (part of EPP) and kilometers of corruption. So vote vas against givings more corrupt even more Power.

      Croatians voted for Milanović solely to prevent the HDZ from having all the levers of power.

      Milanovic was left but now he is right. One day he is for this and other day he isnt. He is komunist and fashist and liberal and conservative all in one. He is chaotic. He talks what people wants to hear. The guy is nuts.

      Congrats to Milanovic! Really impressive.

      While I did vote, I think this presidential campaign was a little lackluster compared to 2019, where the candidates were just so much more insane and entertaining.
