I think Austria will annex North of Italy and not the opposite. Most of Ticino is already speaking German to accommodate all the tourists that flee their ugly and flat countries (Germany, Netherland, etc).

My thoughts is that it’d become smaller.

Another thought is that this would be impossible to happen. It would imply the end of the EU, EEA, all of it.

Unless, of course, the EU and Switzerland decided to go to war against each other for some reason, switzerland lost and got parts of the territory annexed. Which, no need to say, is also highly unlikely.
