Because Ukraine is not perfect and RuZZia is WAY bigger.

Keep in mind that UKR is still one of the poorest states in Europe, with a lot of issues, mainly caused by decades of RuZ influence, exploitation and manipulation.

They can’t magically become America strong within 3 years, though they have performed quite well under impossible odds. But, without lifting restrictions, tons more ammo/weapons and better AI/bots/drones, they will not be able to “win”, at best only holding ground while losing bit by bit.

The West believes they could hold out until Putin gives up, this is hopium at best. A crazy psycho will not give up until they are beaten, thoroughly.

Either help UKR win fast, with everything they need, or we will end up in a very unstable future.
