CIAO,

Blue car should have yielded to all traffic on the roundabout regardless of lane.
Blue car at fault unless there’s also traffic lights and you went through a red
Blue car in the wrong
Traffic already on roundabout has right of way over cars waiting to enter. Don’t mind them
They should nuke that Godforsaken roundabout
Blue car is wrong, always yield to traffic already on the roundabout.
Contact your insurance and let them know this will be in dispute as they might try to go around you and claim it through yours. Happened to my da before when he gave someone the benefit of the doubt and they fucked him over.
You’re completely in the right, they are absolutely at fault.

“Treat the roundabout as a junction and give right-of-way to traffic already on it.” Couldn’t be clearer.
Excellent diagram OP! Sounds like blue car in the wrong.

Pretty sure the rules of the road say you treat them like junctions and must yield to traffic on the right. It sounds like you did everything right and the other person misjudged distance and speed. I fkn hate that roadabout and make sure I plan trips to avoid it even if it means are extra 20mins on the road, just not worth the hassle. Sry this happened to you hope it’s resolved soon.
You have to give way to traffic already on the roundabout and traffic coming from your right. Blue car was 100% in the wrong no matter how they try to spin it. They should have waited until you had fully passed by before even entering the roundabout. Stick to your guns and don’t let them away with it.
Blue car is at fault
Blue car is at fault. *Always* give way to the right on a roundabout
He’s trying to pull a fast one, you yield to the right on a roundabout.
Do not communicate with the other driver. Let your insurance deal with this. It was the other driver’s fault.
Blue is in the wrong as you have right of way. Just go through your insurance as they are being a cunt by not admitting liability.
The blue car is definitely in the wrong but that roundabout has its own laws. Pretty sure it’s like international waters but international roundabouts
For 8 years cycling to work I had to cross there. Only knocked down twice on my bike ever, both times was that roundabout

Sounds like he tried to nip ahead of you to shave mere seconds of his journey an is now blaming u while he is clear in the wrong
Blue car at fault.
Blue car is definitely in the wrong, they shouldn’t have pulled out until they had a clear gap
Blue car pulled into oncoming traffic, its rules of the road stuff, get the gardai involved & make a statement, the other driver is in the wrong
As many have said, blue car was in the wrong. You are absolutely in the right as you were on the roundabout already.
Based on what you are showing there, that particular part has a short corner but good visibility for the most part. So it really suggests that the blue car wasn’t paying attention to plough into your side.
Blue car obviously doesn’t know how roundabouts work. You yield to all traffic on your right. Completely their fault.
Your diagram is adorable, and the first thing you learn in driving school after literally “pedals make the car stop and go” and “red light means stop” is “always give way to traffic in a roundabout.” You are in the right. No question.
You were on the roundabout. End of.
I drive through that roundabout 10 times a week and have done for the last six years. People lose their heads on it all the time. An omnishambles. Hope you weren’t given a huge shock OP – you’re in the right there.

Blue car is wrong even if you don’t indicate willing to exit roundabout.
