We shall not rest until we are as productive as the US! Strip us of our frivolous worker rights so we can be fired at whim, and serve our stakeholders better. Reward our hard work with otherwise unattainable healthcare so the lazy bastards die off. Privatise our hospitals and jails, they could be generating precious income. I want to be able to go to bed knowing we have as many billionaires as the US, as they are truly the best among us, and they look out for us. Yeah no thanks.

What a poor article.
>But here’s something for perspective. Take Nvidia out of the S&P 500 and its total returns underperform the eurozone’s stock benchmark since this bull market began in late 2022.
Just take out one of America’s best performing company that is at the center of the current AI boom and then finally European stocks are finally competitive. Why not also take out ASML and Novo Nordisk out of European stocks?

Well thanks to germany and our good CDU. We are becoming one. Ursula you and your party are doing wonders for the rest of the world by driving EU economy into the ground. Headsup.
Wonder how much lobbyism is allowed until they realize we are getting fed to the dogs.

Yearh. That article adress some of things I thought, when people say Europe is behind. generative AI is very poor way of solve things, not very efficient in terms of energy, the techology is just to be frank needs a decade or more, maybe it is never be viable, a better tool for Russian misinformation than to write something useful.
Yes the automative industry is in shambles, but it is selfiflicted by the industry itself, as most European mannufacturers didn’t bother making electric cars 10-15 years ago, they made their Detroit. When people say European is behind computer technology, I get annoyed, we used to have manufacturers of computers an printers, we used to have European social media and search engines, we still have a ton of companies that does niche programming, big and small. We do not have the front facing companies like manufacturers, or Social media anymore, because the American way of buying out or pouring down money into a company, until the compention run dry and/or they start to make profit. The European way of growth didn’t have a chance against Amazon or Facebook.
However companies like Amazon faces a problem, being that big is very inefficient, and you face sooner or later a barrier for growth, they allow all kind more or less shady chinese resellers, that push actual companies out, they steal saleinformation from actual companies annd punish the ones that have own websites, webshops or a traditional distruption network, where as “random string of numbers for name”-companies based in China doesn’t, because they resell taobao/aliexpress, and for every accout Amazon closes, they can open 10 more, and I have doubts about Amazon even bother with them. Facebook/Meta is basically cannibalizinng itself, they have so many social media platforms, that is basically Pokémon. What goes up, comes down.
