

Così ho visitato l’Islanda lo scorso giugno e mentre ero lì ho comprato una lopapeysa da un negozio locale che vendeva splendidi capi lavorati a mano. Lo adoro e l’ho indossato solo poche volte, principalmente mentre ero lì perché vivo in Texas e solo oggi è diventato abbastanza freddo da poterlo indossare. È così da quando l’ho preso, ma è molto fibroso e non sono sicuro se dovrebbe essere così o no. Ne avevo comprato uno per un’amica e il suo non era affatto così. Voglio solo assicurarmi di non rovinarlo o qualcosa del genere dato che potrei non tornare in Islanda per molto tempo. Va tutto bene e mi preoccupo per nulla o c’è qualcosa che posso fare al riguardo? Le immagini si riferiscono alla custodia ma posso fornirne altre se necessario. E grazie per qualsiasi aiuto

All my Lopapeysur look like this. They’re rough knitted with “rough” sheeps wool, which is what gives it it’s good thermal insulating qualities.
Yes. This is normal. Both the look and the feel. The other one you bought may have been knitted with a different type of yarn maybe. But this is definitely normal.
Yea this is totally normal for a lopapeysa.
It gets softer the more you wear it.
I’ve heard of people bathing it in hair conditioner to make the wool a bit softer, but mostly just using it makes it softer and better.

It’s shedding. Put it in a dark place with a bowl of drinking water and it will be as good as new in a couple of days, albeit a little bigger.
Completely normal as others have said. Make sure to wash it seldom and only by hand using a gentle soap or wool detergent and warm or cool water (not a higher temperature than 40°C), then lay it flat to dry; this will help make sure it lasts
