Ciao a tutti, mi sono appena trasferito in un nuovo appartamento e dopo alcuni giorni in cui mi sentivo come se sentissi odore di gas nell’appartamento ho chiesto al proprietario di controllare. Hanno mandato un tecnico a controllare e lui ha confermato che va tutto bene. Tuttavia sono rimasto sorpreso di poter sentire l’odore del gas, finché non ho visto che c’era letteralmente un buco con le fiamme in questa cosa che riscalda l’acqua e mi sono spaventato moltissimo. Qualcun altro ha questo sistema al suo posto? Onestamente mi sento molto pericoloso. Mi sono trasferito 5 giorni fa e ora sto riconsiderando il mio soggiorno qui, ma ho firmato un contratto di 12 mesi, quindi non sono in una buona posizione. Non l’avevo mai visto prima, quindi non avrei potuto prevederlo quando ho visto l’appartamento per la prima volta.

As long as you can see a flame while it‘s running, it‘s safe.
That’s how a gas heater works dude. No idea what you’re expecting it to be like?
This hole is especially for this reason..to be able to see the flame and making sure it actually works.
When you had an technician on site for making sure the gas lines are not leaking, you can relax.

The flame shows you that it is safe! The dangerous situation would be if there was a gas leak without a flame, because then the gas could fill the room up to a concentration that becomes explosive. As long as there is a flame, any “leaking” gas near the flame would just burn off.
