If EU leaders haven’t started panicking yet, now is the time. We need to find a way forward without the US as an ally, and we needed to start that process yesterday. Especially considering our own right-wing extremists are going to be sabotaging all the talks.

Like, we literally have the leader of the most important country in Nato threatening another member country with military violence and economic sanctions…because of his/their colonial ambitions. And the presidential term hasn’t even officially started yet.

hey guys are you getting deployed to the eastern front to fight russia in ukraine/baltics or to the western front to fight the americans in greenland?

As if I didn’t hate my soon-to-be President enough already. Why did so many of my compatriots have to be such dimwits?!

    6. EuroFederalist on

And this guy runs whole NATO soon enough. Europe needs it’s own defence alliance.

Maybe most of the American population deserve the ridicule they get. Half of us elected this old orange.

Why people and even politicians treating Trump and Musk as trolls? Trump will occupy most powerful position as US president and Musk is the richest man in the world who controls most powerful propaganda platform.

Trump is a fascist who tried to overthrow the goverment.
Musk acts like russian oligarch and buys twitter to make Trump president.

If you fear Putin because of held power and nuclear weapons why the fuck would you not fear these guys?

      FUCKING WAKE UP!!!!!

So one NATO member wants to attack another NATO member? Fuck off Trump …

Feeling threatened yet? The world’s largest economy & military power is directly threatening its allies and trade partners while increasing its economic stranglehold every year via bleeding edge tech companies and international financial institutions, while the second major nuclear power is talking about nuking you.

I think it’s time to cut these both off. For once we are actually, literally, surrounded by enemies.

Never thought I would say this but China looks like a more reliable partner than the US these days…

If we can still call the US a partner that is.

Right. And I won’t rule out taking my neighbor’s swimming pool.

But won’t commit to protecting a country that is being invaded. Interesting. I guess invasion is back on the table now as legit activity.

    14. If Trump uses military to control the Panama Canal then he might provoke a war with China as they control 2 of its ports and are responsible for large parts of its infrastructure. Russia might also get upset.

Funny how the person who boasted that no wars were fought in his first presidency is so keen to start wars in his second term.

As an Estonian, I don’t know what is scarier – living next to Russia or being Portuguese and potentially facing an invasion by the USA, which has a much more powerful army than Russia.

Iceland would likely surrender immediately to the USA. I’m not sure what Canada would even do.

Considering all these factors, Russia seems to be the weakest enemy to have. Perhaps our Western European NATO members are no longer so confident and dismissive about the idea of being invaded by a foreign power – you might finally understand what the Baltic states have endured all this time while being ignored. Elon Musk is already engaging in American propaganda and influencing your politics, which highlights how corrupt Western politics have been all along.

He wants greenland because they have minerals musky can use in his ev’s and bypass chiina’s monopoly on rare earth minerals.

The EU and US trade is the largest trade partnership in the world.

Their economy is gone overnight if they tried to take Greenland.

We don’t actually need to buy anything from them, Europe can be self sufficient, maybe play nice to some Arab states for more oil and gas.

Trump is out of office and all goes back to normal.

Also, a bunch of rice farmers and goat herders defeated them…

    18. It’s funny that the Danes were among the few who joined the initial invasion of Iraq and also helped the NSA spy on their Scandinavian neighbours and this is how the US rewards the bending over

    19. DeRpY_CUCUMBER on

The American conservatives who patrol this sub sure are quiet these days. Since the Ukraine war they have been in here whining and crying about the US needing to stay out of conflicts and yet here is their lord and savior threatening to go to war with Europe, he’s threatening to go to war with Panama, with Mexico, and he’s even talking about ramping up US military interventionism in Gaza, Yemen, and Iran.

The best part is, these idiots are total hypocrites and will simply make an excuse for why America needs to start a war with all of it’s friends and neighbors. What ever Trump says, they go with it.

The Anti-War President Donald Trump being really peaceful by threatening to invade three countries, because that’s what peaceful leaders do, right? Right?
