He’s not fondly remembered in Poland.
The EU was always [meant to be a Federation](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GNI_2H-WEAAePRX?format=jpg&name=900×900)
to unify the continent through step-by-step integration over the generations. At this point we are effectively a [confederation](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://davekeating.substack.com/p/the-eu-is-not-a-bloc&ved=2ahUKEwjFhO7mzuiKAxXg-LsIHchSMwsQFnoECBUQAQ&usg=AOvVaw0cgTy3dEE29LbxmtTi-XUQ). Only a few (big) steps left for a federation.
And 58 years later it is still a necessity! We need a strong and united EU for the following years to come
