No. We had a referendum and people voted for selling them. I would also imagine that after a century, and with no real prior connection Denmark(In comparison, Schelswig and Holstein in Germany has a much larger connection with Denmark), why should have them back? Should we pay for them? What does the inhabitants want? I would imagine they are pretty much into a mix of their own identity, culture and heritage and that of US. Denmark is far opposite of the US, so why should the inhabitants want to be a part of Denmark?

How should we administer them? Should they be fully incorporate? Should it be a union/commonwealth of Denmark? No no no, it makes no sense and would just make a lot of issues on all ends. US bought this after the Danes voted for it. No wars invovled.

    2. As a danish person, no! They can keep their shit, we keep ours. Now let’s stfu and move on already

No, we agreed to sell ‘em to the US and they paid.

Definitely I would trade Greenland for the islands. St Thomas the most touristy island. St John a beautiful national park and St Croix a bit of everything. Great history.

The Danish history on those islands wasn’t good. So no.

It’s a decision for the inhabitants of the island and noone else.

Or maybe we are beyond selling people like they’re pets…

I’d like to offer Canvey island and the Isle of Dogs from the UK but we’ll keep the Isle of Wight because it has lovely beaches for the summer.

Why would you even ask? That’s ancient history, and we sold them fair and square.

Perhaps the door could be open, if they vote to express interest in it.
