>US president-elect speaks of six months to end conflict, after pledging to solve it in ‘24 hours’ from taking office
We went from the first 24 hours to the next six months.
This does however indicate that the negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will likely start soon after Trump becomes president.
>The incoming administration was also wary of comparisons being made with Joe Biden’s calamitous US withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was something the Trump camp would not like to see repeated in Ukraine, the official added.
This gives me some hope that Ukraine won’t be left to the wolves.

Good! There’s no way anyone could stop a war like that in Europe in 24 hours.

“Sign of support” more like he realised how much of a moron he would look when his 24 hour peace plan went unrealised

Don’t mistake his inability to deliver on his election promise for support for Ukraine

It is normal for someone to change their opinion on something when they become more informed. But this dude is literally misinformed or uninformed about everything

Phew, thank God we have our deadline relaxed a bit, cause I started worrying about it!

So basically Trump thinks Ukraine will hold out for no more than six months without US assistance.

I’m personally still waiting for Jared Kushner to bring peace to the Middle East.
At the risk of being downvoted or some shit, Reddit comments seem to fall into a few categories. Here are some. Smart-ass remarks (though they are often insightful and informed), one-upmanship, more smart-ass remarks, more on-upmanship, ad infinitum.
In this particular case, this seems to me to be a positive development, and Buddha knows (there is no god, btw, just fyi) we could USE A LITTLE POSITIVITY! Seeing as how fascism is the order of the day and climate change is now and will continue to kill our fellow citizens and may as well one day come for you. And then there is the coming collapse of agriculture, but I digress.
And while I have your attention, we need a few adults in the room (not meaning just Reddit) who have something thoughtful and constructive to add.
Thank you. I’m done.
