Destroy everything has been the Russian way of war for a long time. Doesn’t matter that it’s within its own border.
This is a country that put its world war II hero veterans on a reservation because the armless and legless beggars on the street embarrassed the regime. This is a country that created gulags in the Frozen wasteland for political prisoners or anyone who look like they might think a negative thought about Stalin. This is a country that starved tens of millions of its own subjects on purpose.
