    1. Would this not just make the situation worse? With Zuckerberg arguing to Trump that the EU is evil to American companies, this would be the evidence

While I appreciate and support the tendency to push back to Elon and Trump trying to export American oligarchism to Europe, we must keep our powder dry until there’s a real need to implement tariffs.

If we shoot our powder now, we’ll have no leverage when the trade war inevitably begins.

    3. Why tariffs on Tesla? Is it just because you don’t like Elon?

Feel free not to buy a Tesla if you choose, but I would rather not have a trade war with the USA.

I believe I’m quite left but this is not really helping anyone. Tesla objectively makes good electric cars and people still want them.. and we need to support that so that we move faster to electric cars in general, regardless by who or where it was built. Leave your tariffs and quarrels with musk to fight another battle… This one is only out of spite and actually doesn’t help. Sure taking down musk would be fun, but this won’t really make a dent and instead goes straight up against the idea to make an energy transition.

      What are you protesting about?

Tesla Model 3 is made in china and will have tariffs (it’s also made in the US so they’ll probably import those and avoid tarifs), Tesla Model Y is made in Germany, Model X and S are irrelevant now but still made in US.

      So what’s the subject?

Europe could use some tariffs on Chinese EVs, or rather: Europe should build better and more affordable EVs.

It’s enough to completely boycott it (anyway, the sales and market share down).
Tariffs wouldn’t work here – It’s also produced in Europe.

Who are those 15 people on the photo? Redditors from r/europe?
