Would be damn stupid send them ukraine has too many problems
It’s got to be PR. How many members of Ukraine’s fire services have trained in the terrain that would make them useful in California?
They have support from Canada and Mexico, which may be all that there is to be had. The southern hemisphere has its own fire season now. In the Mediterranean they have the skills and equipment but are in the winter stand down and maintenance phase.
Do recall Ukraine sent rescuers to Turkey after the major earthquake in 2023. They are also sending food aid to Syria. Always wise to show goodwill even when you are facing adversity/ Kudos to them
Firefighters from many countries went to help Canada recently also
