Prices vary by location. If a store has expensive rent in the business district, or as quasi-monopoly by a train station or airport, prices will be different from a competitive area in a cheap Kleinstadt.

This is the same supermarket chain and its their (cheap) house brand. It is pretty probable that this is a pricing mistake as the tea next to it is as cheap as the other one in the other branch.

    3. Huh :/ usually the private label products are priced the same amongst stores, a difference from more than 2€ is pretty uncommon. Where was the Rewe with the more expensive tea located?

Judging by the fact that the Earl Grey Tea is on sale for 0.99, it’s most likely a pricing mistake.

I was recently at a 7 days a week Edeka, where mostly the products are more expensive than at a regular Edeka, but they were selling Elmex toothpaste for 0.99, when usually the same product costs almost 4€. So mistakes do happen.

REWE Mitarbeiter here 🙋🏻 It’s the exact same tea and same price. The price tag is connected to the product electronically but manually by an employee. Someone just forgot to connect it or it hasn’t fully connected yet. But if you look at the paper Tag it has the exact same Nan (that long number). Both teas are 99ct
