I’m sure a public university wouldn’t outright lie, but that figure also doesn’t necessarily mean a lot. You pretty much have to find a job after university, doesn’t mean it’ll automatically be a good job or relevant to your degree. If you start working at McDonalds after 2 months to bridge the time until you find something better, you’d still count towards that statistic.
Find a job? Sure. Totally believable. Working part time as a server is a job.
This actually looks like a rather low number.
I don’t know about any official data source they could use for this. So it’s likely from questionnaires sent to graduates.
Who is more likely to answer this kind of questionnaire? Those proud about a new job, or the rest?
Is it one of those universities that import gig economy workers in mass numbers like in Canada?
Completely meaningless statistics. It’s probably real, but doesn’t tell you anything about your personal chances, the type of employment, etc. And statistics today don’t tell you anything about the employment chances in 2-3 years when you graduate.
Generally speaking, with a msc computer science you usually don’t stay unemployed, but it’s not a guarantee for a “good” job.
