Trump doesn’t understand that imposing tariffs on a single EU country has no effect. What an absolute idiot.
I honestly think that Greenland will become a US protectorate. They will gain independence from Denmark soon and then the US promises them a lot of money as an exchange for singing a contract that gives the US what they want while officially (or superficially) not touching their independence.

To the people saying tariffs wouldnt have any effect: yes it would. Our (Denmark) biggest export market is the United States, and it has doubled since last time Trump was president. Of course the Danish economy is gonna get fucked if there will be tarrffs on our products/services.
I wonder what the americans will say when because of trumps tariffs, the price of pharmaceuticals that Denmark exports to the US goes up.
Im 100% convinced that the US will launch serious tariffs on Denmark at the very beginning of his term. Its utterly fucked up and makes no sense. Im still convinced that its partly Trump wanting a real estate deal, and him wanting revenge for the Danish PM saying it was absurd for the US to buy Greenland(Which it is)

He’ll never do it-doesn’t fit his personality. From an American perspective, it’s his way of negotiating (shock and awe) to control the narrative.
What’s reflected in Trump’s speech is Russian propaganda. Probably Chinese too. To combat the tide of right wing extremism, the constant firehose of lies needs to be shut off at the internet level. It’s the only way forward.
