Most places will give you fuck all…  so which is more degrading?

Like a lot of things it’s an imported concept from America, and nobody demeans workers like them. It’s kinda infantilising IMO

I worked for a company years ago that would hand out the bonuses in front of staff who didn’t receive them. I’d prefer everybody got donuts and pizza than just management receiving vouchers.

I think its weird to get something for 6 years? Its not any kind of landmark amount of time to spend at a company. Donuts is definitely appropriate but nothing is too.

Is a bit of recognition not appreciated….his red runners wouldn’t go with the red carpet anyway!

I’d be delighted to get something and I think if it’s a €€€ bonus or something similar business’ be at it all day! Our manager used to buy us coffee and scones on a Friday and it was always something you looked forward to and you actually felt like you meant something to him

    8. At least they didn’t make you eat the donuts off of your bosses erect penis – they reserved that for my first day on the job as a welcome gift!

Never understood the whole loyalty crap. It’s a transaction at the end of the day. You work x amount of hours doing x roll and they pay you x amount of money! Loyalty literally has nothing to do with it, you’re there because you get paid and that’s it! People constantly say oh I’m not rewarded in my job. You’re literally paid to do your job!

I’m a simple man. I like money. I don’t care about letters from ceo, or company branded shite along side my name, or pizzas, sweets and donuts.

Money me. Or give me the day off.

The comments will reveal the middle managers quite quickly.

It’s just a thank you. Don’t be so sensitive. More than the founder gets on the anniversary of when they decided to start working on the business.

I’d prefer a few extra days AL written into my contract thanks rather than a tray of shitty doughnuts that sweaty Mke is going to have his greasy mitts all over the minute they get set down in the break room.

I’d be happy with a hand shake at this stage I’m 16 years with this company and I’ve never received a happy Xmas a happy birthday or even a hello from management there are two other workers in the company longer then me and they are in the same boat most places dont even give you the time of day so getting anything is grand at least ya get something
