Ciao ragazzi,

Wrong sub.
Idk about Germany but in my nearly out of third world status country, the MAC address of the Modem is registered to the ISP, if you try to connect any other service provider, chances are very high it won’t work, if you have a friend or relative to test this at, that would be best.
No idea how old that device is and if it supports current VDSL Standards. You can find out by googling the model.
To see if you can enter a user account for different providers you have to login to it and check for that option. May be possible, may be not.
Please don’t call it a WLAN connection … you asking for your internet access … why do people always call it WLAN/WIFI/whatever?
In principle, the router should work with any connection but you have to find out if this might be a rented router from Telekom.
Telekom routers infact are bound to the carrier (most of the time)
This one appears to be a Speedport 3R those are bound to Telekom/Magenta Zuhause Services
Not much to todo with laws, but with Telekom offering this router as their hardware
If you get a new Contract with Vodafone for example, they‘ll always give you a router to go with it. But I think this one should work also
Apparently no. Nothing to do with laws. A quick google says that the maximum username length on a Speedport router is 28 characters, while Vodafone uses 35 characters. I found this result on both Telekom and Vodafone community forums. Get a Fritzbox or something approved by Vodafone.
I had the same situation and it didn’t work
