      I’m not sure what people expect. Our gov have rightly called a lot of the nasty crap he stands for over the years, but he’s now the President of the US and it’s their job to maintain diplomatic relations with the US, there is no other way to respond to this. Every European government is doing the same.

      I do not like him but what do we expect him to do. Of course he’s going to congratulate him. I want them to follow through with the occupied Territories Bill and I’m mad they clearly won’t. I know there will be backlash but we need to have a backbone.

      I don’t want him to be openly hostile to the American president. We should be welcoming him with open arms. He has done nothing to us yet. And that man loves to have his ego rubbed

      You can disagree with that man while also blowing smoke up his arse

      People said the same when Leo Vradkar congratulated him last time. Be for real.
