Una mano rossa, che rappresenta la mano insanguinata del governo, è il simbolo delle proteste anti-corruzione in corso in Serbia. La loro risposta: il dito medio rosso (+ “La risposta del popolo serbo al tentativo di rivoluzione colorata!!!”)

Context:

Late last night, the ruling party of Serbia, SNS, announced emergency “mobilization” (their words) meetings in their chat groups that were to be held at ~3 in the morning today in various local party headquarters around the cities in Serbia.

The purpose of these meetings: To organize a campaign of poster/flag placing and drawing of [this particular symbol](https://n1info.rs/english/news/sns-officials-post-offensive-version-of-bloody-hand-symbol/), a red hand showing the middle finger, which seems to have surfaced a day or two ago in the internet circles their members frequent.

[The first incident](https://n1info.rs/english/news/viser-student-assembly-violent-attack-on-student-doorman/) of this campaign actually happened even before this “mobilization” officially started, when a young man was caught spray-painting the symbol on the walls of a blockaded school in Belgrade by a security guard and some of the students. When they tried to restrain him, he bit the security guard and one of the students, after which a crowd of hooded individuals arrived to defend the young man. One of the students was holding the young man in order to wait for the police to arrive, but the hooded individuals persuaded the student to let him go and that the young man “wouldn’t run away”, which he did after he was let go. This is all part of the government’s effort to extinguish [the anti-corruption protests](https://www.dw.com/en/serbia-thousands-join-anti-government-protests-in-belgrade/video-71335147), whose main goals are the release of all documents regarding the Novi Sad railway station reconstruction, and for the people responsible for the tragedy that happened there to step down or go to prison.
