Russia didn’t lose anywhere near 60m troops, from what I remember in school most USSR losses were actually Ukrainians and USSR lost around 20m people in total so military and civilians a lot less than 60m.
Russia helped the US win by starting lend lease and sending thousands of planes, trucks and tanks so that the US can fend off the Germans approaching Washington. The 60 million also isn’t referring to the death doll caused by Stalin. Holy shit is this stupid revisionist bullshit…

Just a reminder that making deals with Putin is literally making deals with a known terrorist. You do NOT do that. There is no negotiating anything outside Putin’s full surrender. Ukraine can’t sacrifice anything here, because we already know that Putin didn’t stop at Crimea years ago. He won’t stop at the Donbas. He won’t stop, period, unless he is no longer in power. Trumps plan is simple.
Open up US drilling. Shift European energy purchasing to the US. This will cripple the Russian Economy more so than any tariff or sanction. While doing so he will use the frozen $250 Billion in Russian assets to fund Ukraine.
The word ‘deal’ is in quotes.
So, he wants a better relationship with Putin, than either Mexico or Canada?
Stop the war with tariffs and taxes? Is that his plan? I can hear Putin sigh with relief. This war is unlikely to end soon.

Trump is an asshole but He is indeed a businessman. He knows how to apply pressure on his opponents to get what He wants, He knows how Trading works. And If we read this post, he is clearly saying he will apply pressure on Putin to end this war. And the US is CLEARLY able to put a fuck-ton of pressure on Putin.
I think this Post is a good sign that Trump will do what is necessary. Making Ukraine strong and forcing Putin to Stop.

Besides obviously made up numbers and sentimental irrelevances, I have a glimmer of hope that Trump’s attention is slowly moving in the right direction. He is beginning to (publicly) put more and pressure on putin, and not on Zelensky.
But with Trump, nothing is predictable.
I really cannot understand why so many in this sub want the war to continue. It needs to end and I hope that Ukrainians stop dying. I’d like for Russians to stop dying too. I hope and pray that people can go about living their lives peacefully.
